As spring approaches, that means the hot humid weather is on its way. It is common for air conditioners to being turn on and off throughout the day. This could be caused by a clogged filter or even a thermostat that was placed incorrectly. If there is buildup in your airduct, this can adhere to walls, furniture, and even your floors. A dusty airduct will cause the AC to not function properly. That’s why it is important to make sure the air filters are regularly cleaned out to ensure clean air.
If you begin to notice that your air conditioner isn’t blowing out air as powerfully as it used to, it is most likely due to a frozen evaporator coil. A temporary solution would be to turn off the AC to allow them to defrost. Unfortunately, at some point you will have to call a professional to properly fix the coils.
If you experience warm air coming out, this could your compressor being dirty or having a broken fan, which prevents cold air from coming out. This issue is easy to detect, as you will be able to hear noises such as buzzing or grinding.
Another very common issue with air conditions is when they refuse to start. If you have tried turning on the main unit and it still doesn’t work, you will have to call a technician to inspect the unit.
